The 2013 Adventure : British Museum

Today’s adventures took us to The British Museum in London. A fantastic adventure for kids and adults. Admission to the general museum is free – there is a charge for special exhibits.

They have an extensive and amazing Egyptian and Babylonian/ Assyrian collection which is well worth your time.

Today we saw a silver dish from the Mildenhall Treasure, Guardians of the Temple of Nimrod, extensive cuneiform inscriptions, The Rosetta Stone, Egyptian Mummies, the Game of Ur, Lamashtu amulets, Easter Island Head, the Lewis Chessmen and selections from Medieval and Roman England.
